Is this in Hope Valley?

Yes! ..to be honest I don't truly know if this is Hope Valley but it is the general area - Sorenson's is at the top. I think the whole general area is "Hope Valley" but when I looked on Google the tag went a little off...

I've seen dozens of shots of this cabin in the few years we've been here but we've never spotted it...it is west on 88 from the intersection of 89 on the right handside before you start getting out of the valley, maybe five miles (?) after that huge meadow with the West Carson River meandering through. You only get a brief glimpse of it heading west, which is why we've never seen it before - we usually head into the area up 88 and circle on back via 89 and 50...

Thanks so much, Ruth! I may try to get out there in the next few days, to get it with the snow on the ground!

That would be great! We're still trying to get up to Tahoe, life keeps getting in the way, lol. Maybe tomorrow...

I've been told by 'locals' that it is one of the most photographed areas around  and I'd believe it! I only spotted it by the number of cars parked on the side of the road and the numerous people with cameras and tripods

 Haven't got a clue :D I'd enjoy staying here in the spring/summer/fall but I'm not a snow person so I'll let you have it for the winter :giggle:
