A person who snuggles with chickens is simply an amazing, loving, caring person! ;) (I've snuggled a few myself)
Gorgeous breed! never had this type but have had Silver Laced Wynadottes! and black laced ones too!

:aww: Love your views!!

I belong to a facebook group of Chicken lovers :giggle: and when I asked a question about this breed was told (by one person) that they weren't really good egg producers  I had to respond that it was a good thing I'd chosen her for her looks   All the different Wynadottes are lovely :iconlovenodplz:

lol, oh I always choose them for their looks! I had americanas and arucanas and they laid green eggs, no one wanted the green eggs :(  I loved them! they had bushy head feathers and foot feathers and I had a white one I named Phyllis Diller!

We talked about getting some for their egg color, but ended up getting snagged by these two's feathers :giggle: It will be interesting to see what they lay.  I loved the dark brown that Pepper laid - I think she was a Cochin (?) kind of a speckled black and white (hence the name Salt'n'pepper :giggle:)

I'd love to have green eggs!

The best laying breed and the most calm and sweet tempered chickens I have raised were Buff Orphingtons.
Their eggs were so big and brown and they are such lovelies to have around.  I am drawn to pretty feathers too!
My guess is they will lay lovely brown eggs for you! next spring get some more chicks and experiment with more breeds!
So much fun!

Just looked them up - that's what Mustard looks like...I was never sure who was laying what when all three were laying (other than one was dark, lol, the other two were the same color/size but their shells were of different texture)  Now that I know for sure what Cajun's eggs are like (she's the only one laying right now) I kept a blown out shell for comparison if Mustard ever lays again :shakefist:
