Holy Bejezzus is this an Astounding picture! The colors are all so... colorful! It totally looks like a painting! (and a very good one at that) It like doesn't even look real X_X wish i could take a wonderful landscape like this!
You're sooooo kind! Nature deserves the credit I was having fits trying to capture what we were seeing so I finally just bracketed (took several shots at different exposures - over and under - what the meter was telling me) and then worked with the best of the five in Photoshop to fine tune it...and I agree! It did look like a painting I only WISH I could paint like that
My first Nikon I found at a garage sale a professional had bought it and decided she preferred being old school and using film so she was selling all her digital stuff my current camera was a Christmas/25th Anniversary gift from my husband and daughter but yes - it was expensive.
oh what awesome luck! and that's such a nice gift! my camera is just a little point and shoot i got for christmas, but it's a HUGE improvement over the family digital camera and it can do panoramic shots. The zoom and mega-pixels are much better so i'm content with it.
Thank you so much! It was a gorgeous view I hope you have a good weekend too! My daughter and I are heading out into the Sacramento valley rice fields tomorrow to see what we can find among the many bird migrants
The Sacramento Valley is part of the major flight paths and winter feeding grounds for many of the migratory birds...we're hoping to see Sandhill Cranes, but there are also lots of different geese and ducks
usually rainbows are such fleeting things but this one hung around for an incredibly long time! we kind of followed it up the valley and then it was almost like the clouds got trapped by the mountains and as the sun played hide 'n seek it just kept shining
