Hanging on by kayaksailor Hanging on by kayaksailor
The colored leaves are still hanging on despite a cold rain and wind storm...

color was a bit different this year (tho I've only got four years for comparison) some trees were awesome (like this one) and others just went brown

Thanks! I love living in northern California  so much more fall color than down in southern CA - the leaves took their time this year, but have been very pretty

This old church is always good for autumn color  just wish their power lines didn't go right through all the full building shots :shakefist:

The wires ruin so many beautiful scenes! :( Some can be touched up but many times it's just too much. I wish power lines would be buried in the future...

 I agree visually...but having had to live without a phone line for two weeks while the phone company figured out where the problem was 'cuz the lines were buried was quite a pain.... lol

Ooh I didn't think of that! We lost power for a week because a bad storm took down so many wires (poles too) so I'm thinking buried wires solves a lot of problems....

I know your pain  two winters ago we were without power, phone and internet due to unaccustomed snow breaking branches and bringing down trees which brought down wires and poles where we now live...the buried lines were in Southern California where we don't get that much rain, here in Northern California, I bet the rain would cause even more problems if they buried the lines :giggle: at least when they're up in the air a visual check can be done :D no good answer.........

I guess you're right, there is no good answer. Solving one problem creates another! Sigh.
