a tripod is a must :giggle: and then I just let the camera's light meter do the rest :D

oh, and I think I used the spot meter setting and focus on one of the lights...

see to complicated for me already. Thats is y Ill never be better than I am, cant retain a thing that I learn , its not connecting .:lauging: hubby got me a flash (430exii) speedlight for my camera and that should take forever to learn....

It really isn't complicated :D Try practicing in your house - like on one candle across the room...flashes are more complicated to me!! Your camera will know what to do :D

Do you know what the 'spot' metering is? It is what I use most of the time - helps with back lit subjects and dark subjects against lighter backgrounds (of which most are around here with the brown grass :laughing:)

I use spot metering all the time without know how..:) I mean I dont know how it works. I read and read and CANT retain.:( Hubby said he will be my model for a while..:laughing:
