they're even growing in the rocks along the edge of the driveway
I love how the poppies reseed themselves among the rocks at the edge of our driveway - I have to keep on my husband in the spring to let me hand weed rather than letting him just spray with weedkiller
Ooh, by the way this reminds me that my girlfriend bought some packets of wildflower seeds for me, on her trip to Nevada and Arizona last year - and they are still in the fridge ...
send me some seeds??
I'll see if I can collect some...they are freakingly tiny... but with so many plants, I should be able to find some pods...This year has been so beautifully full of them
They are so pretty...The warm hues work well with the green hues in the background.
I can't believe how many there are! Either we missed them last year (we didn't move up here until mid-April) or this is a great year for them
Just Beautiful KS...
Poppy Heaven!! Love the backlighting. Brilliant shot!
Great DOF Ruth, and the colors are so vibrant!
thanks! I was tempted to call them the 'three tenors' but your geese were better titled that that backlit orange was too compelling to not document
Cute!!!! I love the orange
That's adorable LOVE
I really love this one
The light was so very perfect for this capture!!!! Lovely image, Ruth!!!
I agree! I can't help myself - I keep taking pictures of the poppies of the cat in the poppies, of the new ones on a different hill, of my daughter taking pictures of the deer in them... but I'll stop for a few days - we're going mine exploring tomorrow so that'll be different from flowers ...
Have fun exploring!!! Believe me, I would be taking pictures of poppies too....they're lovely!!!
I just got told by my daughter that her teacher said to watch for the wildflower in the fields...guess I'll have to photograph flowers tomorrow...gee darn
there were lots of little 'belly flowers' but I only stopped once...just had to for an incredible little blue flower...hopefully someone'll know what it is
I can't believe you only stopped once!!!! I mean really......what did you get?
well, we were a tad late to begin with (didn't trust the google map directions and had to go about 5 miles out of the way) so no time on the way down...then the teacher changed where they were going and I had absolutely NO IDEA of where it was so we were sticking to his bumper! After the fieldtrip to the mines were over it was beginning to rain and becoming dark...I'll get the little blue darling up within the hours
Very nice, really quite vivid
