Nice shot! They get very thick fur here in the winter. One ran past my studio 3 nights ago on the river ice. He was really moving. He looked like a greyhound at full speed...

These? Wow, that would be quite a sight :jawdrop: We get coyotes in our area at night (and really early morning) but that would be amazing to see these maned beauties!!! Thanks for the faves. :blowkiss:

The variety we have here is called the Red Fox, but they have the same coat as those in your picture and it gets very full and long in winter. They are a fun critter. We have coyote too that we call bush wolves. North of here we have the Timber Wolf. I heard a pack kill a small moose once in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness once, I slept with my rifle in my hand that night...
