yep, western foothills of the sierra's at about 1400 feet elevation...lots of oak trees, grass covered rolling hills and cows :giggle:

we leave most of it "natural" except for the required weed clearance near the house so most of the year it isn't too much work...the cows do the weed clearing on the other side of the fence :giggle:

Thank you for satisfying my curiosity. I remember how difficult was cutting the grass on the hilly terrain. My husband's aunt had a cottage in the mountains. But there was always a lot of rain and grass has grown up very quickly :D Nowadays the sheep become popular again on such terrains.

love the open space!!!!!!!!!!! To bad the housing is to where we would pay more to downsize......:( Id love to move into open space like that...of course Id have to see the mountains thru the front or back door. Now its I have to go down the street on my bike,

I understand...

when looking at houses around here four years ago we talked about wanting to have a view of the Sierras (looking east) but ended up with the valley...a much more personal view :love:
