lost in the brambles by kayaksailor lost in the brambles by kayaksailor
An old truck serves as a marker for a local ranch...during the summer, I bet you can't even see it

(I am sorry but due to a recent theft and altering of one of my photos I am now placing my copyright symbol and name in the main body of my images.  If a print is desired, I will move the mark...)

I don't mind old cars sometimes for decoration but when I see an awesome old car rotting in someone's backyard/woods/etc I think why don't you fix it up? wash it off, take care of it? Even if you can't get it running ever again. It's a piece of history! And it makes me sad.

This is truly "top-notch" Ruth ... the faded colors and heavy rust are just wonderful and my only question is 'where and how in the world did you come across this masterpiece'? :wow:   This really makes a person want to go back in time and see how this all came to be!!  ~Lee

this was on the same road as the old house with the narcissus...but a few miles down the way :D  I have a feeling it was probably one of the ranch vehicles that eventually was just too much trouble to fix  these farms have been being worked for a loooong time!

You will absolutely LOVE this video!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3Ivrh…

Hi Ruth!!
I really appreciate this information as I didn't know!!  And I can easily believe what you said about why this old truck was just sitting there like that ... probably hasn't been started in sometime for sure!!

I also wanted to thank you for linking me to this video as I totally enjoyed it for so many reasons ... it appears there weren't too many "rules of the road" back then not to mention signs or anything organizing traffic in anyway for anyone nor anything!!  I would hate to think of it still being this way today ... there could possibly be a few accidents to say the least!!
Anyway ... the video was really wonderful and thanks again!! :D
